(PROBABLE SPOILERS! WANT TO TALK ABOUT HELLSING AND FFVII AND NOT WORRY ABOUT WHAT I'M GIVING AWAY...)
Wow... this took me a while for something I was trying to be quick on. You would not beleive the absolute shizen I had to go through to get this picture finished. Anyway. Always wanted to do a gift for *pu-sama, but I thought I may as well just enter her Halloween comp. I was hoping it was obvious, but if you didn't get it, Alucard from Hellsing is dressed up as Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, and Integra is dressed as Aeris. Don't get me wrong, I really liked FFVII but Aeris kind of annoyed me. What kind of idiot learns to fight for months then gets stabbed in the back? Sir Integra would do much better. She even came prepared with her own weaponry. (Anyone who doesn't know why Alucard is smiling, he usually seems to smile when he's about to get shot. Maybe he enjoys it.) Alright. Enough of the rave. As you can see, I'm not very good at anime, but it was interesting doing this. Thanks for derailing my brain Pu! (Probably about eight hours in photoshop. How I managed 36 layers with this, I don't know. Listening to- Tom Waits, Step right up.) |

Integra as Aerith has got to be one of the most WRONG juxtapositions in all of fandom-- and yet, very very funny. *giggles* Seeing stout, cold, short-tempered, warrior-general Integra in the role of gentle, feminine, pacifist Aerith is...is.... Wow, Integra would probably have to shoot, hang, disembowel, and draw and quarter Alucard TWICE just to get over her migraine. I love how the pink dress is able to keep its girlish, feminine lines and figure, while Integra's arms and legs are most definitively functional and almost masculine. The expressions on their faces are priceless-- from Integra's blindingly furious grimace to Alucard's absolutely unconcerned smile. Beautiful shading and especially sense of texture, especially on the dress, coat, and Aerith's jacket.
